What you'll be doing
- Troubleshoot and maintain field devices and technology, including utility and BTU meters. Administer and maintain shared-use systems. Communicate with users and user groups on technology topics and provide instruction. Provide support to users of information technology tools and energy information systems. Essential duties: troubleshoot, monitor, repair and replace meters for the energy information system (EIS) utilized to monitor and report energy usage. Identify need and research, analyze, plan for and implement technology products and associated use and support procedures. Mentor other technical support staff on systems analysis, troubleshooting, and customer support techniques. Collaborate and team with others on a variety of technology and technology support projects
What your background should be
- Four years experience providing information technology services, eight years experience providing information technology services, any equivalent combination of experience and education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. Certificates from recognized programs that indicate mastery of tools and techniques relevant to the assignment may substitute for up to six months of experience. Evidence of a CEM certification. Electrical, chilled water, and steam metering devices troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of communication pathways, including MODBUS, BACNET, HART, and IP communications. Identifying and resolving problems with computer hardware and software.
