What you'll be doing
- This position is responsible for leading the finance function supporting the multinational sales unit within companies global employee benefits business (GEB). This includes designing & implementing a financial reporting & analytics process for multinational sales results, partnering with GEB business leaders to develop a process to project multinational earnings and measure performance against 2016 goals as well as managing the multinational sales budget and incentive compensation payout process. The position will also need to establish relationships and coordinate with several key stakeholders and ensure adequate controls over all processes. Develop & implement a monthly analytics package with quantitative & qualitative financial analysis that identifies key business drivers, trends and opportunities & risks. Organize monthly business review process with multinational business leaders. Strengthen sales pipeline reporting and institute robust sales projection process to produce quarterly and full-year results by region, product and financial arrangement. Provide financial analyses and other support for the quarterly global business Dedicated Business Review (DBR) process. Facilitate annual bottom up business plan process for multinational sales including development of sales targets by region, product & financial arrangement. Coordinate with regional finance teams to ensure consistency between GEB and local operations. Manage multinational sales expenses & headcount to achieve at or below budget results. Provide analyses that help influence decisions on discretionary spending and hiring. Engage multinational business leaders in monthly expense reviews for their respective departments to foster environment of accountability regarding cost controls. Steer multinational sales expense & headcount projection process providing insight into expense trends and risks & opportunities in the budget. Identify and oversee process improvements and enhanced controls for validating sales rep incentive compensation. Re-design the process and issue revised guidelines as necessary. Perform operational reviews over multinational sales and pooling processes to ensure an adequate internal control environment. Present recommendations to business leaders and coordinate implementation of process improvements.
What your background should be
- Minimum 6-10 years experience in finance roles (insurance experience preferred). Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related field; CPA, MBA or other advanced degree desirable. History of problem solving, process-building/re-engineering and innovation. Solid analytical and organizational skills. Experience leading projects. Strong relationship building skills; ability to influence direction and build consensus with various disciplines and all levels of management across complex, global organization. In depth knowledge of group insurance products and key financial drivers.
