What you'll be doing

The incumbent will responsible for providing clerical support to counselors and others in the high school counseling office. The candidate will maintain appointment calendars for counselors, schedule student appointments, meetings and other commitments. The incumbent has to respond to telephone calls; greet and direct students, parents and visitors. A successful candidate has to maintain student records and coordinate visitations from colleges, trade schools, and military recruiters. Provide assistance to the registrar and monitor community service hours for students. Develop and promote good community relations among various community and school clientele. The applicant has to perform other related duties as assigned.

What your background should be

This position required minimum one to three years of job related experience; computer and word processing knowledge; verbal and written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions; is flexible; works cooperatively with supervisors and coworkers; maintains a positive attitude.

Required Schooling / Training

High school graduate or equivalent.
