Lead Grocery Stocker

What you'll be doing: The lead grocery stocker insures excellent customer service and departmental operations are maintained throughout the grocery department. The grocery stocker provides polite, friendly service to all customers; orders product (as requested); stocks, rotates and conditions all grocery products on shelves according to the company standards and productivity guidelines; and maintains a neat and safe work area to allow customers to shop. A grocery stocker would uphold all sanitation standards throughout the department and follow procedures to minimize damage and shrink of product. Other duties include maintaining organized, inventoried back stock, assisting with the unloading and verifying of delivered merchandise and performing other duties as assigned by management.

What your background should be: The applicant requires being friendly and having outgoing personality. Ability to work well with others, ability to lift 40 lbs. constantly 60 lbs. occasionally, ability to read and understand information and direction are required. Knowledge of grocery operations, demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job, effective communication and customer service skills, ability to bend, kneel, stand, push/pull stock carts and operate pallet jack for extended periods of time are genuinely expected.
