What you'll be doing
- Responsible to support/facilitate student learning in the clinical setting. Develops annual goals for program improvement; revise and update program curriculum using current evidence-based material; review all student policies and revise policies related to admission, progression, graduation, standardized testing and remediation. Practice excellence in teaching and instruction. Demonstrate evidence of professional growth and academic currency. Carry out the responsibilities specific to his/her area, department and/or program. Contribute to the college community through participation in service activities. Contribute to the local community by participation in service activities. Be knowledgeable about and abide to college and nursing program policies and procedures, including accurate and timely submission of all reports, grades and paper work. Actively participate in department committees to aid in program enhancement and evaluation. Attend all meetings scheduled by the administration for planning and orientation. Assist in scheduling for area of responsibility. Prepare and submit information needed for the development of area budgets. Attend department and committee meetings as requested. Assist in course staffing (part-time/adjunct) functions. Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the nursing program administrator.
What your background should be
- Possess and maintain a current, unencumbered RN license in Arizona or a compact state. Have at least two years of experience as a professional nurse providing direct patient care, with five (5) years or more preferred. Have at least two (2) years of full-time college or university teaching experience or relative experience is preferred. Have experience of nursing skills and practice needs. Have strong interpersonal skills with student and staff populations. Have documented record of professional, academic and administrative/management achievement.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelors degree in the science of nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university.
