What you'll be doing
- Manages multiple projects within the analytics business unit throughout the project lifecycle. Encourages collaboration and proactively seeks opportunities to improve collaboration between distributed analytic teams. Tracks and ensures visibility of project progress. Emphasizes the need for iterative work and prioritization by value and risk. Assists with internal and external communication by transparently radiating information, especially relative to team performance, progress towards goals, and team capacity. Partners with project leads to ensure the team is producing solutions that meet the needs of the organization in a changing and dynamic environment. Collaborates with project leads to aggressively address issues, risks and mitigation plans. Instills a sense of urgency reflecting the goals for the current iteration and project vision, while passionately emphasizing the importance of meeting these goals. Optimizes increases and sustains throughput. Ensures meetings are effectively facilitated, the outcomes are achieved and their cadence is maintained. Assists team with making appropriate commitments through story selection, sizing and tasking. Proactively identifies and removes blockers, limits work in progress and prevents distractions. Facilitates retrospectives to identify and implement improvements. Maintains project documentation including integrated project plans and timelines. Participates proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices. Works with project manager community to adopt and develop processes across departments and projects.
What your background should be
- 3+ years of project management experience.1+ years of hands-on scrum master experience utilizing agile delivery framework. Hands-on experience in the proactive, passionate improvement of software development process and practices to optimize business value delivery. Preferred to be a Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent. Experience with distributed development teams which span multiple geographies, time zones and cultures. Must have experience overseeing project teams with at least 10 team members. Exceptional written and verbal communication and time management skills.
