What you'll be doing
- Develop and maintain the visual identity of the company brand in all graphic communication throughout all areas of the store and parking structure. Contribute to an inspirational and convenient shopping experience for our customers with a focus on home furnishings and the strategic communication of the company range. Actively participate in the planning and implementation of range presentation solutions to strengthen the commercial presentation of the company range. Apply the range presentation process to implement changes in store communication. Apply the principles of company layouts in practice to influence the placement and nature of media and messages in the store. Maintain the company mechanical sales system standards to all graphic communication, ensuring the correct company tone of voice, attitude and visual identity. Apply the relevant company commercial lighting concepts to implement clear and visible communication throughout the store. Implement graphic communication solutions at a level that meets or exceeds documented conceptual standards. Support the commercial team with the execution of the store commercial strategies including the planning and implementation of the store Commercial Calendar, within relevant store media and communication vehicles. Be knowledgeable in current trends of graphic communication media, commercial theme execution, visual presentation, shopping /buying methods and influences in home furnishing. Remain current and up to date on relevant company intranet tools. Ensure work area is clean and organized, following waste management guidelines. Be willing to take on other tasks and projects as assigned.
What your background should be
- 1-3 years experience in Graphic Design. Application of color theory in design and merchandising solutions. Drafting, space planning and interior or architectural design experience. Experience designing, visualizing and communicating effective graphic communication solutions based on client briefs. Computer aptitude proficiency in design, Photoshop and Illustrator, in a Macintosh environment and internal company systems. Working knowledge of graphic communication production; print techniques, materials and equipment, and pre-press requirements. Ability to utilize visual/illustrative methods of communication.
Required Schooling / Training
- Degree in Graphic Design or Fine/Applied Arts.
