What you'll be doing
- Provides strategic planning and account management for large accounts. Directs and manages the administration of contractual requirements and obligations. Manages the new and renewal implementation process for accounts. Interfaces with operations to ensure smooth delivery of services. Maintains ongoing account relationships at multiple levels throughout the customers organization. Makes recommendations for improvements as needed to meet customer expectations. Develops effective implementation processes and manages reporting processes to ensure client retention and high levels of account satisfaction. Provides both on-site and off-site customer service, which may include interpreting plan design, researching and resolving phone/written inquiries and identifying/resolving health plan eligibility issues. Develops effective implementation processes and manages reporting processes to ensure client retention and high levels of account satisfaction. Provides guidance or expertise to other staff. Makes routine account visits. Works on special projects as assigned.
What your background should be
- Seven years experience in health plan management, account management or IT systems/business process consulting is preferred or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Experience in provider network management, health benefits management, care management, or call centers in health care industry preferred. Deep understanding of the healthcare industry important. Management consulting experience is a plus.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree. Masters degree preferred.
