What you'll be doing
- Attend pre-pro meetings to get and discuss schedule with manager and rest of team. Partner with art director during the retouching process to ensure all retouching requirements are being addressed. Research techniques to achieve color effects and new retouching techniques. Communicate with production department to obtain any pathing, proofs and other elements needed to keep workflow moving. Work closely with photographers and attend shoots where appropriate to gain further knowledge of the photographers style and retouching instructions. Convert files, color correct and submit files to production for proofing.
What your background should be
- 1-2 years experience in studio retouching. Up do date technical knowledge for digital retouching. Strong photoshop and in design skills. Photography or printing experience a plus. Independent worker, self-starter, resourceful. Exceptional communication and organizational skills. High level of self-initiative and an eagerness to learn. Good interpersonal skills and be able to work with all levels of management. Must be able to handle multiple projects at once.
Required Schooling / Training
- 4 year university degree in related field.
