What you'll be doing
- The position oversees a staff of 12 to 14 hourly employees. The facilities consist of approximately 242,000 square feet of building space located on 75 acres. Responsibilities of the incumbent include creating, monitoring and maintaining maintenance and capital budgets. The incumbent directs all maintenance operations of buildings and grounds at a single unit. Schedules maintenance and monitors the operation of all utility systems such as heating, ventilating and air conditioning. He/she supervises janitorial services and grounds maintenance such as landscaping, lawn and snow removal. The responsible person might also supervise the security function and construction projects. The incumbent will have overall responsibility for maintaining payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. The incumbent maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.
What your background should be
- The right candidate will have a working knowledge of all aspects of Building Services including Maintenance, Custodial and Grounds. A candidate with construction project management experience is highly desirable. Seeking bi-lingual candidates; the ability to communicate in Spanish will assist in managing this workforce. 3 years of basic management experience and 3 years of basic functional experience required.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree is required.
