What you'll be doing
- A professional communications specialist will manage the development of professional high level reports, manuals, website content, social media, print marketing materials, newspaper articles, public announcements, press releases, and other materials. The specialist will be responsible for consulting with both FTA regulations and guidance on public communication as well as directly with the Nebraska Department of Roads Communications Division. Reviewing AASHTO, FTA, TRB, TCRP, and other published best practices regarding communication with the public will be a strong component of the position to develop a comprehensive approach to facilitate the development of communication materials that are the most effective and efficient in achieving statewide mobility management and regional coordination. What your background should be
- Prior related experience writing, editing, and synthesizing highly technical research reports. Preferred experience project management and team leadership. Prior experience in an academic/university/state organization.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree in English communication or related field.
