What you'll be doing
- The candidate must have ability to maintain J69, J85 and PT6A aircraft engines at the highest quality and safety standards and maintains and assists in the maintenance and troubleshooting of engine related problems. Makes all proper entries in the aircraft maintenance records. Performs tasks under minimum supervision. Performs removal and installation of engine on T-6, T-37 and T-38 aircraft. In FLSU, remove and install aft aircraft section, raise and lower windscreens and position aircraft on the sound suppressor/hush house or trimpad. Must have the working knowledge of hand tools and hardware used in the maintenance of J69, J85 and PT6a aircraft engines is required. Complies with the requirements of the FOD prevention, housekeeping tool control, environmental and safety programs.
What your background should be
- Ability to read and write and to comprehend technical data is required. Two(2) years of experience in engine teardown and rebuilding or related experience are required. May work in Aircraft maintenance hangar or outside. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles; may be exposed to electrical shock hazards or work near moving mechanical parts, vehicles, or aircraft.
Required Schooling / Training
- High school or the equivalent is required.
