What you'll be doing
- Assistant Nurse Manager will assist with the administration, supervision and evaluation of nursing care under the supervision of the designated leader. Perform nursing care for the comfort and well being of the patient and assist with treatments, therapies and procedures; and administers medications. Develop and utilize the care plan as a comprehensive, individualized communication tool; identify realistic patient goals; evaluate and revise care plans, as patient condition requires. Perform nursing assessment and evaluates patient response to plan of care. Provide and assess effectiveness of patient and family education. Interpret and relate results of diagnostic tests and procedures. Assist with leadership aspects of the unit. Assist with development goals and objectives, plan and present in service programs, staff meetings, supervise, and evaluate patient care. Participate with performance improvement activities. Implement action plans to improve patient outcomes and provide a cost effective environment for patient care.
What your background should be
- Current licensure to practice as a registered nurse or temporary license as a registered nurse petitioner in the state of North Carolina or South Carolina as applicable required. Basic life support for healthcare provider (BLS HCP) from AHA required. Clinical nurse III or clinical nurse II is preferred. Require walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing and pulling. Lift and support the weight of 51 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment and supplies. Must speak English in good and understandable terms.
Required Schooling / Training
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required; Bachelor degree in Nursing preferred.
