What you'll be doing

Demonstrate a good understanding of policies, routines and procedures within the area of responsibility. Support and develop co-operation with fellow co-workers, through working closely together, sharing knowledge and showing understanding of each other responsibilities in order to present the range in the most commercially profitable way; reflecting our range priorities, low price profile and unique offer. Promote a safe and secure working environment for fellow co-workers and guests by reporting any safety hazards, concerns or ideas for improvement. Follow food handling, health, safety, hygiene and sanitation regulations and guidelines. Assist Manager and Team Leaders in the training of new co-workers. Maintain Basic Actions for my area, including a clean, organized work area following waste management guidelines. Use available resources to educate myself on Food Service products, services and guest interaction skills. Utilize the concept description, documentation and manuals together with the relevant tools to support developing the business and myself. Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as they occur. Prepare and maintain cold prep menu items following the company Food concept according to specifications using approved ingredients and in accordance with health standards. Service guests on the food line and in the dining room. Perform light baking and assist in preparation of ingredients to be stored for next day use. Be cost conscious through controlling waste, preparing correct portions, production levels and cooking methods.

What your background should be

1-3 years of experience in the following knowledge areas: Cold prep food handling experience in a full service restaurant or institutional food service establishment. Good customer service, and verbal communication skills.

Required Schooling / Training

High school graduate or equivalent.
