What you'll be doing

As a technician at this organization, the incumbent will perform a variety of manual, mechanical, and/or clerical functions related to the processing of parts and/or the handling of material. These functions require the incumbent to make decisions based on the interpretation of various prints, work orders, shipping orders, records and written and verbal instructions. The incumbent combines miscellaneous components with multiple subassemblies using a sequenced methodology to assemble and produce a higher-level group of components or products. Visually inspects previously assembled parts for defects. Removes damaged or defective parts and replaces with a new part. Performs a variety of inspection functions to check the quality and accuracy of finished product, incoming materials, plant processes, process documentation, fixtures and gauges released to production, and master gauges and measuring. Measures, examines and tests completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers, Vanier calipers and chart results. Performs repetitive testing of solutions used in shop processing equipment, records results and makes necessary adjustment to maintain proper concentration.

What your background should be

The ideal applicant requires having the capability of blueprint reading. The applicant will require having advanced computer skills and knowledge of factory processes. 2-5 years of previous manufacturing experience required. Knowledge of: HM100, Infinity QS SPC, HVC (engines), Excel and Lotus Notes/QSI-NCMR Database preferred.
