What you'll be doing

Responsible for the daily support of the sales function to minimize the administrative work of producers. Analyzing and reporting sales data, communicating changes to sales plans, providing knowledge about customers and competitors, communicating pricing data, and managing the operational logistics of sales meetings and activities. Work closely with sales and other functional leaders to develop and maintain the operational infrastructure supporting sales recruiting, goal setting, training and onboarding, troubleshooting order processing issues and producer requests, as well as sales-related information systems and procedures. Support sales functions related to quoting, selling, renewing, enrolling and installing a case. Ongoing communication with brokers and internal functional areas regarding all aspects of selling collateral, forms, products, benefits, quotes, appointment, commission, selling, underwriting, enrolling and installing. Field underwrite, scrub and prepare proposal/case/renewal information for next functional area recipient. Work with underwriting, case installation and plan change unit to correctly submit adequate documentation. Advocate for proposal/case/renewal by requesting exceptions periodically from other functional areas. Work closely with the AE, RAE and/or RAC acting as the liaison for brokers/employers in terms of missing or unclear information, exceptions, etc. Obtain final rates/rate relief from underwriting, deliver and potentially obtain sign-off from employer/broker. Oversee group and provide customer service, guidance and education to the client for the first 30 days of the new case or renewal. Extensive work experience within own function. Work is frequently completed without established procedures.

What your background should be

1+ year of demonstrated customer service skills in a professional business environment. Excellent word processing and computer skills, including Lotus and Microsoft Word & Excel. Excellent understanding of sales processes and products offered by UHC. Fully experienced in major representative tasks in order to troubleshoot and train peers.

Required Schooling / Training

High school diploma or GED
