Principal

What you'll be doing: The principle will establish a vision that is clear, compelling and shared. Design, implement, supervise and evaluate instructional programs for the campus. Must have demonstrated knowledge of curriculum and instructional strategies and research bearing on the instructional practice of the campus. The principal is expected to develop and implement a campus improvement plan that is aligned with the needs of the campus and with district goals. Promote high expectations for staff and students. Ensure the discipline management system and student code of conduct are administered consistently to promote equity, effectiveness and student success. Prepare, implement and monitor annual operating budget for campus, monitor activity accounts and operate within budget. Manage all school facilities and equipment effectively ensuring a clean, orderly, and safe building within maximum use of space. Submit reports promptly and accurately. May lead the recruitment, hire, induction and placement of assigned staff and supervise and evaluate performance. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

What your background should be: One year Texas principal certification, or Texas mid-management certification and three years of classroom teaching experience; and previous experience as an assistant principal, associate principal, or principal.

Required Schooling / Training: Master degree from an accredited college or university in educational administration or a directly related field.
