What you'll be doing

Report to designated manager or director and function under the supervision of the clinical director or designee to perform comprehensive polysomnographic diagnostic and therapeutic service for testing, evaluation, treatment, care and education of sleep disorder. Maintain accountability and responsibility for the performance and quality of all modality of polysomnographic procedure in accordance with the american academy of sleep medicine and registered polysomnographic technologist guideline and departmental policy. Provide all modality of polysomnographic procedure for all age group following established policy, procedure and regulation. Provide patient and family education. Assist with performance improvement, billing, budget, equipment and design process related to polysomnography procedure. Assist with overseeing the training of polysomnographic technician, student and trainee.

What your background should be

Two years sleep study experience preferred. Professional knowledge of polysomnographic procedure, principle, equipment operation and maintenance as normally acquired through completion of an approved training program. Ability to function independently. Interpersonal skills necessary in order to effectively communicate with patient and family, staff and physician.
