What you'll be doing

The head start center manager supports and assists families as they identify and meet their own goals through a case management model for developing and carrying out the family partnership agreements. This position assists with the completion of the child health requirements and other required screenings and assessments. This position supports the larger system of social services coordinated by head start, thereby supporting the goals of the program. The center manager holds the state license and is responsible for staffing, hiring and compliance with state and federal regulations including maintaining full funded enrollment. Responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with applicable, local, state, and federal rules, health/safety licensing regulations i.e. health and sanitation inspections, fire inspections. Performs and documents weekly recruitment and outreach activities and weekly enrollment report.

What your background should be

Prefer two years supervisory experience in an early learning childcare facility. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience in basic computer skills and proficient in microsoft office products. Knowledge of the principles and practices of social work and human behavior, human development and health, family-centered practices.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree in early childhood education or related field.
