What you'll be doing

The recruitment and placement coordinator is responsible for creating and distributing marketing materials designed to attract potential resource parents; in conjunction with program supervisors, developing, writing and implementing targeted recruitment activities; attending recruitment events and representing the agency in a professional manner; maintaining the recruitment and referral database so that information is up to date at all times; coordinating the scheduling of PS MAPP and DT trainings, organizing the materials needed for the trainings, and tracking training completion and follow-up; conducting resource family orientation sessions and coordinating appropriate follow-up with the attendees; conducting community outreach and marketing activities to recruit potential resource families; acting as the primary liaison with new resource families until assigned to a permanent licensing specialist; in coordination with foster care program supervisors, triaging and responding to emergency placements; for child-specific recruitment referrals, completing a written plan within 30 days of receiving the childs information, and presenting waiting children to resource families at orientations and targeted recruitment activities.

What your background should be

1 year of experience working with families in a behavioral health or child welfare setting. Paid experience in foster care settings preferred. Marketing and public relations experience preferred. Must be able to effectively read, speak, and write using the english language. Exceptional working knowledge of MS word, excel and publisher required; experience in creating dynamic marketing materials preferred. Successful experience in recruitment preferred. Must meet all ADHS and DES licensing and contractual requirements, including having a level 1 fingerprint clearance card and passing background checks with no criminal history. Must have valid driving license.
