What you'll be doing

Responsible for providing excellent customer service, protecting company assets through activities in safety, inventory recovery and internal and external theft. Assist with reduction of loss of inventory, time and assets, monitors surveillance equipment, and apprehends shoplifting suspects. Ensure customer care and selling. Practice operation invitation and positive customer interaction by smiling and greeting every customer that comes within working area. Interact with customers to determine and meet customer needs, provide assistance and support and ensure a positive shopping experience. Understand the store layout, services and locations of merchandise. Effectively demonstrate customers to the merchandise policy and assist customers as needed. Detect and respond to external theft incidents is effective in detecting theft potential through external sources. Effective in monitoring internal incidents and reporting to loss prevention lead/manager and store manger. Monitor areas of visible shrink and assist in correcting deficiencies. Assist in reporting and following up on customer accidents and assist to maintain a safe, clean store. Help in training store associates on proper safety procedures and equipment, loss prevention and shrink control measures/procedures. Complete required inventories and audits at the request of the store manager and loss prevention lead/manager. Work with loss prevention lead/manager utilizing loss prevention physical monitoring equipment. Utilize the loss prevention information system and its reports. Maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate a high level of confidentiality on internal integrity opportunities. Ensure all claims are processed and up to date on outbound merchandise deliveries. Perform other duties as assigned.

What your background should be

Strong verbal,written and analytical skills. One year retail experience, loss prevention experience or equivalent. Must be 18 years of age or older.
