What you'll be doing
- This position is accountable for managing the development, maintenance, issuance and accuracy of individual, small group, mid & major market contracts, booklets, riders, and material modifications. This includes but is not limited to supervising contractual writing analysts and the representation on various internal and external committees, negotiating desired contractual revisions, becoming aware of new mandates and policies and effectively communicating this information to plan personnel. This position also oversees the launch of new products and services, enhancement and refinement of existing products. Responsible for the coding and testing of the language in the contracts and booklets and also represent area needs on project and product implementations to ensure the contract and booklet requirements are met. This position requires participating in the preparation of marketing and business strategic plans. Additionally, the incumbent in this position is responsible for managing departmental administration expenses, including salary and non-salary costs, within the established budgetary constraints.
What your background should be
- Requires five (5) to ten (10) years experience in contract preparation and interpretation in the insurance industry. Requires supervisory experience. Requires good PC skills. Requires good organization skills. Requires excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline.
