What you'll be doing

Develop and establish disaster recovery procedure for the restoration of mission critical business application in the event of natural disaster, technical failure, power outage, and human interference. Manage and coordinate all aspect of actual recovery plan implementation and effort, including initial emergency response, recovery procedure, and business resumption process. Develop, implement, maintain, and oversee enforcement of policy, procedure and associated plan for disaster recovery administration and business continuity based on industry standard best practice. Including appropriate, recommend, schedule, and apply fixes, security patches, and any other measure required in the event of business disruption. Investigate and select location for off site storage of data and backup. Keep current with emerging security alert and issue.

What your background should be

Eight to ten years of related system engineering experience. Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and other industry standard technique and practice. Working technical knowledge of current system software, hardware, protocol, and standard, including cisco networking, san storage systems, storage replication and backup hardware and software. Knowledge of applicable practice and law relating to data privacy and protection.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical discipline
