What you'll be doing
- Manage a team of regulatory experts charged with driving regulatory decision making by providing regulatory information, intelligence, situational analyses, and recommendations that reflect both the current regulatory landscape and the projected/desired future healthcare environment. Set the strategy for personnel management, deliverables including content development, business unit connectivity, and knowledge sharing systems for this functional group within global regulatory policy and intelligence. Facilitate access to and dissemination of such information. Collect, organize, develop, and manage critical regulatory intelligence and information to enable easy distribution or access across the company in a way that best serves an advantage. Drive strategy for knowledge management tools and related governance. Leverage and communicate lessons learned across teams, therapeutic areas, and business partners. Oversee the development of group processes and initiatives to manage, disseminate, and retain business critical knowledge. Manage and negotiate subscriptions with external vendors and ensure availability to members of the company community. Support global and regional policy initiatives. Empower, coach, and develop employees leveraging the leadership imperatives. Establish a team vision and implement forward-looking processes, inspiring the team to work towards the vision. Manage resources to ensure appropriate staffing strategy, respecting and leveraging the strengths of each member of the team.
What your background should be
- A minimum of 10 years of regulatory or medical product development experience required. Experience in regulatory information searching and associated technology required. Experience working with regulatory authorities and understanding of their role in product approval and licensing required. Working knowledge of regulatory policy activities, gained within national health authority, industry, or trade associations required. Working knowledge of the regulatory framework and how that applies to pharmaceutical and healthcare product development required.
