What you'll be doing
- The Space Science Mission Operations Project is on the lookout for a competent Systems Engineer for assessing the missions on-orbit performance. The incumbent will be required to prioritize, identify and monitor various tasks in order ensure mission success. The specific responsibilities of the Systems Engineer position will include: - Providing analysis and recommendations in order to assure the top quality engineering practices / solutions are successfully implemented. - Help with the analysis and resolution of various issues that are detected in the long-term or weekly trending reports according to the company requirements. - Support the identification / characterization of emerging and existing system level risks, and take part in the processes of development and implementation of mitigation plans. - Execute anomaly management process and handle Project-directed anomaly investigations, assessments and resolutions as required.
What your background should be
- Basic Qualifications for the Systems Engineer Position: - Current mission operations experience. - BS degree in Engineering + eight years (minimum) of relevant experience. - Solid knowledge of spacecraft subsystems. - Ability to obtain NAC-I clearance.
