What you'll be doing
- The incumbent is responsible for the development, coordination, delivery and evaluation of educational activity for hospital staff with a focus on patient care staff. Education will be accomplished in the clinical as well as classroom environment. The candidate serve as a consultant and resource for staff caring for patient as well as ancillary department staff. Utilizing appropriate education framework, the clinical educator assess and determine learning need, implement education program, and evaluate education outcome. Participate in and utilize research for improvement of patient care practice. Effectively work with physician, staff, and patient.
What your background should be
- A minimum of two years formal or informal experience in an educator role. Demonstrated ability to utilize effective, appropriate and diplomatic oral and written communication skill. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction and supervision. Proficient computer skill in microsoft word as well as internet access and utilization.
Required Schooling / Training
- Baccalaureate degree required. Master degree preferred.
