What you'll be doing

Provide a single point of contact for end users to receive support and maintenance within the home office computing environment. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading all desktop / laptop hardware and equipment to ensure optimal performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via email) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user assistance where required. This individual is also responsible for tracking tickets in a network helpdesk ticket system, keeping software licensing inventory list, and maintaining an asset tracking list. Will work with vendors to maintain, install and troubleshoot telephony items such as PBX handsets as well as mobile smart phones; lastly the technician will also support the ownership and will conduct any special projects assigned to the position through upper management. This position reports directly to the VP of technology.

What your background should be

3-5 years working in IT support roles. Minimum of four years experience in desktop / laptop support and troubleshooting with strong working knowledge in all microsoft product suites. Minimum of four years experience in help desk ticketing system. Minimum of three years PC hardware inventory control and license tracking. Minimum of three years working with mobile smartphones (apple, droid). Minimum of two years supporting corporate PBX systems. Experience with microsoft active directory, TCP/IP in LAN/WAN environment. Experience in basic networking, CAT5 cabling and patch panels. Licenses or certificates in MCSE, VCP, CCNA, CCNP, CCA, A+ desired.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree in MIS / CS or equivalent.
