What you'll be doing

Responsible for project management of projects delivering strategic enterprise data management, warehousing, and analytic capabilities across US retail IT and business functions. Direct accountability for assigned projects of up to $3M, including overall delivery of scope within the defined delivery time frame and in accordance to project budget. Define project scope, charter, goals and deliverables in support of business requirements and works with senior leadership and stakeholders for approvals. Develop project plans, schedule and work breakdown structure for projects. Communicate project status, progress on deliverables, and risks/issues to stakeholders and leadership in a timely manner. Discuss and prioritize project issues with the project team, and provide help/support to the project team as required. Maintain project tracking and provides status reports to senior leadership. Manage direct and matrix resources to ensure that projects are completed within committed delivery time frame, defined scope, at or under budget and integrated with other dependent projects. Work with Program Manager to develop the project schedule and budget; responsible for financial results. Responsible to identify staffing request needs and request resources. Define and execute contingency planning and mitigation strategies as necessary.

What your background should be

8+ years in a project management role. Strong understanding of business intelligence, analytic, data management and data warehousing concepts (ETL development using PL/SQL in an oracle relational data base, unix environment). Proven in depth knowledge of project management disciplines (e.g. PMBOK). Experience in managing projects leveraging different software development methodologies. Experience with agile/iterative development desired. Strong experience interacting with business customers and managing expectations. Proven work experience working as a project manager with a successful project delivery record, delivering on time and within budget. Ability to form strong business relationships and partner across the enterprise for effective cross-functional project delivery. Ability to work with business interface teams and business leads to estimate cost and negotiate requirements to minimize project impacts to work effectively on multiple tasks with competing priorities. Knowledge of the healthcare business and subject areas is preferable.
