HSE/Facility Maintenance Specialist

What you'll be doing

Assures plant compliance with all federal, state and local HSE regulations. Operates, maintains and records the usage of water wells and city water supplies. Operates and maintains cooling towers. Monitors outfalls and oil water separators. Manages all aspects of environmental regulatory requirements, including permit renewals, spill response, auditing, scheduling of waste removal, maintaining of the waste collection areas and other related tasks. Performs SWP3 and SPCC monitoring, training and support. Performs and coordinates laboratory sampling, testing and reporting. Collects data for regulatory reporting, such as TIER II, annual waste summary, TRI and others. Promotes and educates plant and office employees on environmental regulations as it affects them. Leading and reporting, investigation/root cause analysis, development of corrective action plans for incidents and near misses with supervisors/managers. Reporting of incidents internally and externally to regulatory agencies as necessary. Develops, promotes and trains everyone on HSE procedures and practices.

What your background should be

0-2 years of experience in HSE and facilities maintenance. First-aid & CPR certification preferred (must certify if not currently certified). Knowledge of mechanical equipment and tools. Experience in facility maintenance and waster water operations. Able to operate a forklift, man lift, scissor lift.
