What you'll be doing

The director of perioperative services is responsible to the organization, coordination and direction of patient care services for patients admitted to the perioperative departments and for participation in activities designed to increase patient census and effectively fiscally management in harmony with the facility goals and strategic plan. She/he works cooperatively with senior leaders, physicians, staff, other directors, and all customers of the company to provide services that consistently meet and exceed customer expectations. Responsible for the oversight and supervision of all processes in accordance with recognized and accepted internal and external standards in order to facilitate optimum care and health education for patients and appropriate utilization of resources which support daily operation in his/her area.

What your background should be

Three years recent RN acute care experience. 1-year management experience as a charge RN, clinical care manager/supervisor, or manager (preferred). Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit which are specific to the needs of the patient population served (if applicable). Must have current RN license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas. Professional specialty certification (preferred).

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor of science in nursing. Master Degree in nursing or related field (preferred).
