Test Analyst

What you'll be doing: Performs hands-on functional and automated product testing. Executes test cases and test scripts. Work with peers in development and project/program management to plan and prioritize testing, making appropriate compromises to ensure high quality and timely delivery. Consider test ability when reviewing the designs which result in more testable features and better test coverage. Leverage test methodologies, best practices, tools to improve test coverage, efficiency, and effectiveness. Ability to recognize trends or broader relationships between projects. Analyze patterns of issues to identify test holes for a feature area. Assists programmer analysts in reproducing and troubleshooting issues identified in testing. Writes and maintains test assets such as test plans, test cases, test scripts, test data, test results, and test tools in a suitable state for quick reuse. Ensures documentation follows standardized procedures and appropriate approval hierarchies.

What your background should be: 2+ years of testing experience including exposure to test automation tools. Knowledge of the software/system development test life cycle. Knowledge in test management and/or strong knowledge in technical domains. Experience with testing methodologies, processes, and procedures. Experience with agile development methodologies. Experience with test automation. Experience with database technologies. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal, with both technical and non-technical people).

Required Schooling / Training: 4 year degree computer science, information systems or relational functional field and/or equivalent combination of education.
