What you'll be doing

The client company is seeking a director RFP. The director will lead a team of associates and s/he will responsible for preparing company initial proposal for new group retirement plan opportunities in the not for profit market that may come from employer groups directly. Effectively lead the team to consistently produce results that support business plan growth goals in the acquisition of new business. Develop strategies and creative approaches that leverage competencies in proposal preparation to make the RFP process a significant competitive advantage for company. Identify, recommend and implement process improvements to any part of the acquisition process. Utilize technology and productivity enhancements to provide a consistent approach to the delivery of formal and generic retirement plan proposals. Coach the team in providing outstanding customer service to all customers including plan sponsors, case development, field sales, intermediaries and account management. Ability to make presentations to case decision makers as necessary and forecast and monitor budget for areas of responsibility. Perform other duties as assigned or required.

What your background should be

8+ years of management experience within the defined contribution market including working knowledge of the multiple IRS codes in the retirement plans industry, preferably in the not for profit industry. Flexibility and the ability to adapt to change in a dynamic environment. Must have strong problem solving and reengineering skills. Must have effective communicates and presentation skills.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree.
