What you'll be doing

Support the mechanical and electrical fabrication of project components. Provide guidance on material purchasing to support the fabrication and systems integration processes. Support the design of equipment cooling systems. Researches, designs, develops, modifies, evaluates and tests a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including radar and radiation detection equipment; radio, television and other communications equipment and systems; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; and control and test equipment. Conducts experimental tests on equipment and evaluates results. Develops specifications for selecting components and equipment to use. Support the preparation of technical data packages and provide technical support for researching and establishing upgrade requirements. Works from, and assists in the development of, engineering drawings. Will support the assessment of vendors abilities to support development. Works independently, with minimal supervision.

What your background should be

6+ years of related experience. Experience will include 5 years related to the fabrication and installation of parts for communications electronics installations in military systems. Must have capability to distinguish between hardware and software problems in multi vendor systems. Must have experience working with satellite communications. Experience with all aspects of prototype systems integration. Ability to manage priorities within an agile environment. Ability to work and collaborate in a small or large team environment. Due to federal contract regulations, US citizenship is required.

Required Schooling / Training

BS in an engineering or related scientific/technical discipline.
