What you'll be doing

Communicate clearly, understand and acknowledge verbal instructions, and be able to read and interpret work from work orders and task instructions. Maintain basic computer skills necessary to access CMMS work order system, update equipment history, and access parts/material inventory management system. Repair, maintain and calibrate analytical scientific lab instrumentation. Provide support to contractors, vendors, and scientists in a manner consistent with established work practices and quality standards. Frequent critical communication, collaboration and coordination of work order and equipment information with customers, vendors, global operations peers, LIS engineers/technicians, LIS manager, asset lifecycle/planner, IT, etc. Perform assigned PMs and calibrations on laboratory equipment, and report changes or repairs needed. Instrument types include but are not limited to: mass spectrometers, autosamplers, plate readers, and analyzers. Execute required administrative duties. For example: preparation of parts and assets for shipping, management of spare parts, asset inventory, maintenance of service records, equipment manuals specifications and technical reference materials. Schedule, greet, escort and support vendors as required by the company security policy to achieve LIS objectives.

What your background should be

Minimum of at least four years related experience in the support and calibration of laboratory equipment.

Required Schooling / Training

Associate degree in chemistry or electronics required.
