Oracle eBusiness Suite Software Engineer

What you'll be doing: Researches, designs, develops and modifies new software or existing enterprise wide systems and applications software. Resolves highly complex hardware/software compatibility and interface design considerations. Develops and applies advanced methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced software applications and problems. Advanced knowledge of data warehouse development and maintenance lifecycle and methodology. Develop technical design BI specifications using OBIEE development standards & best practices. Conducts investigations and tests of considerable complexity. Understand business requirements and experience in developing custom BI solutions in OBIEE. Factors emerging technologies and product supportability into design and implementation. Advises hardware engineers on machine characteristics that affect software systems, such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements. Prepares reports on analyses, findings, and project progress, and presents results to management and customer personnel. Serves as a customer interface to resolve problems and ensure requirements are met on a timely basis. Provide recommendations on business process changes based on other Asset Management implementations and Oracle functionality. Serves as a technical team or task leader providing guidance and work leadership to less-experienced software developers.

What your background should be: 10-15 years of related software development experience. Strong skills in solutions design. Design, build, deploy and support end to end BI solutions. Determine whether measure calculations and processing should be done in ODI/ETL or metadata. Design and develop BI metadata repository and identify areas of optimization. Determine requirements for aggregate tables. Design logical and multi-dimensional data models. Design and support OBIEE security model. Ability to provide recommendations on configuration and setup parameters based on other asset management implementations.

Required Schooling / Training: Bachelor degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical discipline
