What you'll be doing
- Load appropriate recyclables into baling machine and produce a maximum number of bales daily. Palletize televisions in a safe manner, maximizing load weight of each pallet; operate stretch wrap machine in a safe manner. Safely operate forklift to load bales, gaylords, or other items into buyers trailer. Accurately weigh and manifest loads. Separate commodities for recycling, filling gaylords to maximum capacity, and properly store in warehouse. Allocate staff to appropriate duties to maintain flow. Accurately record team production achieved each day, and turn in to supervisor as requested. Accurately separate out non-recyclables, or non-resalable items as determined by supervisor. Meets attendance and punctuality requirements. Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Works with as much speed, efficiency and accuracy as possible. Demonstrates ethics and complies with corporate compliance program. Maintains and assures safety in work areas. Meets mandatory yearly training hours required for this position.
What your background should be
- Must be able to regularly lift 70 lbs. Good eye sight, hearing and hand-eye coordination required. Must be able to stand for up to 8 or 10 hours at a time. Must be able to bend and twist on a regular basis for the scheduled 8 or10 hour shift. Experience in warehouse environment preferred.
