What you'll be doing

Maintain a clean, safe and organized working area. Clear the table after each course, only when all the guests are finished. Always clear plates from the right and deliver them to the dishwasher. Serve water after the server communicates with you that they want regular water, always serve from the right by graving the stem of the glass. Communicate with other bussers/servers for help to clear plates off a table. Check supplies in counter area and restock items to ensure a sufficient supply throughout the shift. Must be knowledgeable with menu items, descriptions and cooking methods to be able to explain and communicate to guests. Perform other duties as assigned by the manager on duty.

What your background should be

Experience in fine dining restaurant, bar or hotel preferred. Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language and other languages preferred. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Must have a good knowledge of menu items, spirits and wines.

Required Schooling / Training

High school diploma or GED degree required.
