What you'll be doing
- The individual will help to build a powerful network for the company. The ideal candidate is responsible for the assistance to internal company investigations to support efforts such as internet safety enforcement matters (spam, phishing, malware). S/he will work to ensure that, acquire and retain customer data for their online services in accordance with company policy, business needs, and the needs of law enforcement as well. The applicant is accountable for global outreach and training to law enforcement on new and changing online products and services of the company. The duties of this position include response to confidential legal requests and legal process (subpoenas, court orders, search warrants) for customer records. Additional duties include managing document based legal escalations and performing QA reviews of GCC data disclosures. The individual will also travel as necessary to represent the company at trial and possibly to law enforcement at meetings or trainings.
What your background should be
- The positions requires prior professional experience dealing with government demands (subpoenas, orders, search warrants) and laws governing those demands such as the electronic communications privacy act (ECPA), various federal, UCMJ or state authorities for compelling the production of data hosted in the U.S. as well as criminal process and procedure, rules of evidence, and witness testimony. Experience with foreign jurisdictions privacy, data retention and data production laws are additionally beneficial. Possession of a U.S. government security clearance, or an ability and willingness to obtain such clearance. CIPP/US privacy compliance certification or the ability to obtain and maintain certification. Prior witness testimony experience highly desirable. Familiarity with the software industry and working knowledge of Microsoft products and services highly desirable.

- BA/BS degree.
