What you'll be doing
- Work with 120 voltages and below electrical control circuits. Review and revise equipment schedules for related equipment that is controlled by the energy management control system to ensure systems are operating within established parameters. Identify and resolve operation problems with the energy management system. Troubleshoot, monitor, perform maintenance and make repairs as necessary to the campus energy management system including programming of control software. Develop specifications and provide cost estimates for repairs, renovation and alterations to control equipment and software. Coordinate service contracts, inspect contractor work (completed and in progress) to verify adherence to campus standards and specifications. Read building plans and specifications, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings and engineering instruction for assembly, installation, programming, etc., of electrical and electronic units. Assist the HVAC department with service calls and work orders as directed. Assist department management in administrative functions and task as necessary.
What your background should be
- Experience in operating, maintaining and repairing building energy management systems, HVAC systems, IT systems or process controls. In lieu of bachelor degree, a minimum of 5 years of hands on experience in operating, maintain and repairing building energy management systems may be accepted. Possess a valid driving license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
