What you'll be doing
- The property administrator is responsible for reconciling all rent accounts with the landlords, processing all manual payments from the lease administration department, handling all security deposits; first month manual rent payments and prepaid rent. Assist property admin in processing a monthly rent roll, currently in excess of fourteen million dollars. Analyze and interpret lease agreements and ancillary documents to ensure proper application/compliance regarding billings and payments and disputes expenses when necessary and tracks savings when appropriate. Process manual payments of charges or credit adjustments based on account reconciliations, through the AP department. Ensure all rents; security deposits and prepaid rent have been paid on all new locations as they become due. Retrieve all security deposits from landlords after stores have closed. Complete all documentation required to set up the payee for a new location and sends to AP for processing. Communicate directly with internal contacts including, but not limited to, legal counsel, controller, assistant controller, accounts payable, real estate, construction, and field team members among others. Complete other projects and special assignments as requested by supervisor or senior management.
What your background should be
- The candidate should have 1+ year of accounting or property administration experience. Familiar with account reconciliations; familiar with a general ledger. Ability to read, interpret and apply lease language; ability to read and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals. Proficient in Microsoft suits.
Required Schooling / Training
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
