What you'll be doing
- Drive a culture that ensures high productivity with outstanding compliance and adherence to product quality in all areas of the quality management system and Industry practices. Ensure that the organizational design, functional expertise, engineering process experience of the technology team is positioned for excellence. Formulate the strategy for continuous improvement of systems, products and processes. Ensure managers are leading engineering teams through the product development lifecycle with superior quality and compliance, while also balancing and optimizing engineering program deliverables with requirements. Drive budget control, engineering organizational design, technology differentiation, functional excellence and teamwork. Engage in cross-functional activities, including recruitment, retention, talent acquisition and development, and mentoring. Collaborate with peers across functions (e.g. QA/RA, supply chain, service, marketing, sales, IT & finance) to drive a high performance team environment. Drive innovation and growth, as well as research and development initiatives. Attend customer visits and clinical training sessions. Work with global leaders to support and grow emerging markets, and low cost country locations. Build strong partnership with government & regulatory bodies to assist, as needed, in forming policies to capture consumer and industry interest. Create an open environment with complete adherence to compliance and EHS processes.
What your background should be
- 15 years progressive experience as an engineer or engineering leader within the appropriate field of study. 10 years experience in project leadership within a manufacturing, development or research environment. Proven track record to drive global teams to deliver on business and program goals. Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must be responsive and willing to take ownership of issues and drive solutions.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree in software, mechanical, electrical engineering/science within an appropriate discipline.
