What you'll be doing
- Assists in driving the identification and deployment of applicable agile processes, methods, tools, and metrics utilized within the organization to ensure consistency across the IT organization and appropriate business partners. Provides support in capturing internal best practices and identifying existing/new measurement (metrics) capabilities for broader training and adoption across the enterprise. Works closely with IT leaders, project teams, company and various stakeholders to ensure assigned program work streams effectively mitigate risks, resolve issues, addressing resource gaps, and remain aligned to the strategy objectives of the portfolio. Provides analysis and decision making support for program prioritization. Results oriented, be diligent and work with a sense of urgency. Must be assertive, responsible for his/her own work (self-directed), have a strong affinity for defining work in deliverables, and be willing to commit to deadlines. He/she should have the ability to identify and implement required actions quickly in order to accomplish goals, eliminate roadblocks, and create focus. Must possess knowledge and expertise in the use of both agile and project management methodologies, and have a clear understanding of human resources policies/practices and change management techniques. Identify and implement continuous process improvement opportunities to the agile methodology standards used at company, and infuse other external leading practices where appropriate. Identify and integrate methods to rationalize and leverage supporting toolsets aligning with critical processes.
What your background should be
- 7 to 10 years of IT work experience, including 3-5 years of managing complex projects, and direct work in agile projects and using/creating agile metrics and measures. Excellent written and verbal communications, strategic thinking and analytical skills are a must. The ideal candidate will be thorough and detailed in support of documentation and communications, while tracking and supporting ACP roadmap deadlines. Candidate must be able to concurrently manage multiple duties. The candidate should feel comfortable managing priorities and working with minimal assistance and supervision to define objectives and execute on the responsibilities of the role. One or more of the following certifications: PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, CSM or equivalent.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree in information technology, computer science or related discipline.
