What you'll be doing
- Assess patients assessed needs; consider factors and implements actions to ensure safety, effectiveness and cost containment in planning and delivering care to patients, families and visitors. Administer medications accurately and within the guidelines of organizations established policies. Exhibit flexibility in meeting department and facility needs. Apply and monitor patients requiring telemetry monitoring. Maintain personal and professional competency and growth according to float pool and organizational requirements. Implement physician orders in a correct, safe, and timely manner. Perform appropriate care of assigned patients focusing on pain control, wound care, foley care, fall precautions and core measures upon discharge. Perform duties as an independent and empowered member to the healthcare team.
What your background should be
- Knowledge of nursing care and is able to carry out routine patient care assignments in all nursing areas of the hospital. Documents nursing activities and nursing care rendered and works within guidelines of nursing services and in collaboration with physicians.
