What you'll be doing
- As a revenue management analyst, you will make providing service your priority while caring for the whole person in a faith-based atmosphere. The revenue management analyst responsible to accurate and compliant charge capture through the evaluation and appropriate maintenance of FH source data (SD) system for all ambulatory and acute clinical operations for medical necessity. Reviews all aspects of the chargemaster, identifies charge capture opportunities and works with clinical analysts to implement processes to accurately capture charges. Understands various clinical information systems and reviews both inpatient or outpatient accounts to reduce denial rate and write off amount. Provides education for the revenue management clinical analysts and various revenue cycle departments as it pertains to changes in medical necessity and the appeals process, in accordance with local or national guidelines. Adheres to corporate compliance plan and to the rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
What your background should be
- Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare or related field. In-depth knowledge and ability to navigate hospital multiple information systems; HOST (RI, RS, MA, MM, PS, SD, etc.), EOS, contract management, cerner millennium & intranet preferred. Navigate in DDE (online medicare billing) preferred. Must be certified professional coder (CPC). Ability to work and meet deadlines in a fast paced, dynamic, project oriented environment. Requires self-motivation, detail oriented focus, and outstanding customer service skills. Requires comprehensive end user computer skills; MS office including Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook; Windows operating system and internet.
