What you'll be doing

The associate director work closely with the child care director II to ensure excellence in the execution of school age child care program through quality program development and enhancement. Specific duty include oversight of school age children at before and after school child care site; plan and implement program for five elementary school location in accordance with Virginia licensing standard; administration of monthly program budget; build relationship with children, family, member, school and PTA and help part time staff grow and develop.

What your background should be

Candidate must possess a minimum of one year of experience in child care. Management/supervisory experience is strongly preferred. Must meet minimum commonwealth of Virginia requirements for childcare director. Candidate should have the ability to build strong relationships with staff, children and families; excellent communication and organizational skills; high energy, initiative and creativity. Candidate must be detail oriented, with the ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Required Schooling / Training

A college degree in a related field is preferred.
