What you'll be doing

Meet or exceed company performance standard for quality and speed of service to customer. Install and repair brake, steering and suspension system, transmission and drive axle, tune up, diagnostic, vehicle preventative maintenance etc. Conduct vehicle inspection for mechanical service. Detect and note any condition that would affect the safe operation of the vehicle and bring them to the attention of the service manager or store manager. Routinely inspect, maintain and make necessary repair and/or adjustment to machinery necessary for an efficient and safe work environment. Perform ride complaint diagnostic. Assume a high level of responsibility for meet all OSHA requirement. Assist in the installation, balancing and repair of tire as need. Perform a road test to ensure that the work has been completed properly. Follow all safety practice as outline in policy and procedure.

What your background should be

1 year automotive service experience required. Minimum age requirement is eighteen years. Strong customer service skills and a high level of professional integrity. Possession of valid motor vehicle license. Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends. Complete knowledge of and experience in, the diagnostics and repair of brakes, steering and suspension systems, transmissions and drive axles. At least one A.S.E. certification at time of hire is preferred. Ability to earn and/or maintain certifications within 12 months of hire is required. Experience in installation, balancing and repair of tires.
