Quarry Production Associate

What you'll be doing: Learn and follow safety regulation. Repair and replace damaged or worn part. Dismantle and reassemble heavy plant component using hoist and hand tool. Operate and inspect machine or heavy equipment to diagnose defect. Test mechanical product and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer specification. Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicle. Read and understand operating manual, blueprint and technical drawing. Examine part for damage or excessive wear, using micrometer and gauge. Perform routine maintenance such as change oil, change filter, take oil sample and lubricate equipment and machinery. Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operation and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA. Ensure compliance with company policy or procedure for product transit or delivery. Work in a team environment and assist co worker or supervisor with other duty as require. Perform other duty as assigned.

What your background should be: Welding, torching, mechanically inclined, previous mining experience preferred. A valid state CDL license a plus. Understanding of leadership skills and strong communication skills a plus. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to comprehend and communicate to others the requirements of technical specifications, regulations, reports and manuals. Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning and moving materials and manipulating things. A strong commitment to safety and adherence to applicable federal, state and local regulations is a must.
