What you'll be doing
- Guide children to positive interaction, keep all children in sight and use child supervision record properly. Keep your classroom clean and tidy. Be aware of your surrounding and take responsibility to report or fix unsafe condition if you find them. Use only positive child guidance technique to instruct children. Know and follow the licensing regulation related to child care in your location. Create learning space that support and enhance curriculum activity. Keep classroom supply, daily record, child information and more organize. Implement curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique need of each child. Use developmentally appropriate teaching method. Adapt your teaching style as need for each child. Complete student assessment use classroom observation. Actively participate in parent conference with the lead teacher or center director. Help build professional relationship with agency and community organization. Work encouragingly with your team to achieve the center goal. Welcome and engage prospective family who come for a tour. Speak to the feature and benefit of client companies program.
What your background should be
- 1+ year early childhood education experience. Must meet state education criteria. Speak, read and write English fluently. CPR and First Aid certifications, or willing to obtain. Teacher must be able to adapt and excel in a continuously changing, fast paced environment and make the children needs primary focus. Teacher must be able to fully engage in physical activity. Must be able to kneel, stoop, sit on the floor, stand for a long time and demonstrate and engage in activities like jumping, dancing, walking and running. Teacher must be able to see and hear well enough to monitor classrooms and playgrounds to keep children safe at all times.
Required Schooling / Training
- Associate or bachelor degree in early childhood education.
