What you'll be doing

Consult with technicians and managers on priority of work. Perform detailed inspections of equipment for proper operation. Perform troubleshooting on medical gas and plumbing systems and supporting equipment. Train and mentor new personnel in area of expertise as required. Attend and participate in project designs, reviews, shutdowns, project meetings, final inspections. Coordinate commissioning of specialized systems on new construction or renovation projects. Maintain proper building operating parameters to maintain the integrity of specialized systems. Create spreadsheets and maintain records for reporting requirements. Use system expert skills and current diagnostic techniques to identify equipment problems and repairs. Use specialized diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot equipment and systems. Make recommendations for scope, major repairs, and budget on equipment purchases and installs. Read and interpret technical manuals. Perform work from written or verbal instructions, specifications, blueprints, or wiring diagrams. Design and perform advanced predictive maintenance on specialized equipment and systems. Create and implement standard operating procedures for specialized equipment and systems. Proactively maintain all aspects of assigned area of responsibility and serves as liaison between area technician, customers and FOAM management.

What your background should be

Three or more years of experience with plumbing/medical gas systems in a healthcare setting. Knowledge of Microsoft office and familiarity with computer basics is preferred. Ability to communicate both verbally and written with customers and other employees.
