Export License & Compliance Specialist

What you'll be doing

Obtain, maintain, and monitor compliance with applicable ITAR and EAR regulations for U.S. government export/import licenses, agreements, permits, certifications, technology release authorizations, commodity jurisdiction determinations with supervision. Respond to export international trade compliance questions, including the interpretation of company policy and procedures, work instructions, international traffic in arms regulations (ITAR) and export administration regulations (EAR), with supervision. Support and assist in review requests for export or import of controlled goods, licenses, exemptions and agreements and coordinating approval of requests with management. Prepare reports, presentations, and metrics associated with export/import transactions and activities. Maintain export/import files and records in accordance with U.S. government export/import regulations and company policy. Perform all other duties as assigned.

What your background should be

Two years of relevant export/import experience. Basic understanding of U.S. government export/import regulations. General defense industry knowledge are plus. Experience with D-Trade, SNAP-R, and OCR EASE IT system a plus. Demonstrate the ability to think strategically and integrate export-licensing requirements with company's international business objectives. Demonstrate the ability to research and interpret government export regulations, including emphasis on export control reform, and apply to everyday situations.
